I've contacted the customer support email. I was told I had to have a facebook account in order to access any help, which is patently absurd when being told this by direct contact email.
So since the dev team won't help me, I am asking has anyone else run into the above error when installing and then trying to open the program? All of my drivers are updated, my OS is updated, I've restarted, uninstalled, re-installed, did it three times again and still this error, which says "reinstalling the program may fix this problem."
Can anyone point me in the right direction since the proprietors of this software have refused to help me directly? As an aside I was using this program consistently wo issue for months before the update. I then got a newer computer and run into this issue. I installed the new version on my other computer and the same run error now occurs post-updated software.
Ian King, you've been extremely rude in all of our communications. Noone told you that you had to join Facebook, the discussion group was simply offered as an avenue for getting help as there's a large community there. The D3DX9_43.dll error message means you didn't install DirectX correctly. There's information on this in the FAQ on the page.
Run C:\Program Files\Armorsmith Designer\System\dxwebsetup.exe to resolve the error.
The only reason I posted here is because you didn't even bother to respond to my reply email. I asked if Facebook was the only option you were giving me since you didn't offer to help me over the email forum and gave me a load of excuses as to why nobody responded to me for over a month. My frustration is born of you completely neglecting my repeated requests for help. Only after I posted this did you respond. Thanks for the help after 5 emails and nothing at all regarding this.
Also- I listed this information in multiple emails to you at your help gmail account.
I am sorry you didn't like the cut of my jib, but I wouldn't have been nearly upset had you just helped me or aided me as fast as you replied to his public forum everyone can see.
Thank you for the pointers about DirectX, I will try that and see if it works.
