I set aside my project for a little bit to focus on other things while waiting for the merge update. Post update, I decided to work on the trickiest part of my armor: the boots. The problem with them is that I had to individually scale each part to interlink with the other. The result of this was the overall boot size being bigger than I needed. Long story short, I need to scale the boot down, but each individual part scales down instead of the overall boot when it's not merged.
Now, you may be thinking, "This is an easy fix, just merge the parts then scale down." However, for some reason, the merge tool messes up the positioning and scaling of the individual parts of the boot (and freezes the program for a good few minutes).
I tested the merge tool on other parts of the armor and had similar results. I tested it on the calf and knee piece to see if it was just the boot, and the knee piece vanished completely. By itself, this isn't anything more than a minor annoyance, but it has the potential to actually ruin work as the merge tool is unaffected by the undo tool. If you merge something, and it goes wrong the only way to undo it is to load a previous version of the armor file. Hoping this gets fixed sometime soon, but still working on other parts of the armor, so it's no big deal for me. If I find a workaround, I'll be sure to share it! :]
